diaries, journals, or notebooks. written in first person (and in character) unless your character speaks in second or third person. pour your heart out.

locally known as faerie mounds, these hills sit at the edge of the northern forest of nevermore and go on until you start nearing civilization. lots of wild animals live here, including the larger wolf species that frequent the area. sometimes people even claim to see lions taking naps in the sun on top of the mounds, but no one takes the sightings seriously.

a huge tree that towers over the rest of the trees in the forest. it's actually a redwood, but no one bothers to correct people about it anymore. the reason it's so large is because the seelie faeries hold court there, and their earthen magic keeps the tree strong and tall. people often attempt to hike out and find it, but no one ever does, and those that do are never seen again.

previously a lumber factory that brought in most of nevermore's income. after the residential area where all the factory workers lived was burned down in the protests, they were forced to shut down. now, it is an empty shell of steel and concrete where trolls, ogres and several large flocks of birds are known to live.

named after one of three founders of the city. robinson's park had fallen into neglect over the years. the play structures are rusted, every surface is covered in graffiti and it isn't frequented by the friendliest of folk. the mayor has talked about rebuilding the park to its former glory, but you'd have to chase all the faeries out first.

run by a pixie of the same name, you can get any drink that could ever suit your fancy here, from a bloody mary with real blood in it to a nice shot glass of poison for your enemies, twill's has everything.

the fees are pricey, but no one can get rid of the local pests better than piper.

the main street of nevermore. it goes all the way through town, from the ruins to the edge of the southern forest. there is a market on the northern side of the street every sunday from sunrise until about two in the afternoon.

hidden by glamour from malevolent creatures, this cafe is a safe haven for all half bloods hiding from their families. alexandria, the cafe's owner, lives in an apartment upstairs.

the only school in nevermore. it used to be an elementary school, but after people complained that they had to drive their older kids all the way to the city to get them an education, they turned it into a school for all ages, from kindergarten to high school seniors. they still haven't bothered to change the sign yet.

andy's restaurant has been passed through a family of first born women throughout the generations and was named after the original owner, andy greene. now it is in possession of her great-great granddaughter, andy burke. it's friendly to every species, and vampires enjoy their late hours.

have to spend your sunday morning in church or need a place to hide from some vampires? the church is the place to go. it's the only holy place in town and vampires, as a rule, can't step foot here.

this is where the nevermore police take criminals. they have two holding cells and most of the bad guys are moved to the city after a day or so.

nevermore's fire station. they only have one truck, but they can get the job done.

the lobby of the hunter's academy. everything is white, shiny, and smells like bleach. there is a receptionist's desk and several unmarked doors leading off to various parts of the academy.

where all the hunters keep their weapons. everything from wooden stakes to silver bullets to iron crowbars sit on the shelves of these rooms. never leave for a hunt without being fully prepared.

the hunter academy gym. whatever training that does not go on outside in the fields, goes on in here. weights, treadmills, obstacle courses and an indoor swimming pool can be found here.

one of the only houses that remain from the original nevermore. it's a large, two story, victorian-style house in what used to be the upper class part of town. kids are constantly daring each other to go in, but no one ever comes out unscathed.

the only road that leads into the southern forest. the road is paved with cobble stones from the original nevermore, stained black from fallen berries and blood. no one knows where it actually leads to. some say to the ocean, others say it goes to another world. all locals know to avoid it.

within a ring of blackberry bushes and dark wooded trees, the unseelie faeries hold court. a large throne sits on a dais on one side of the clearing, where the king sits. a smaller throne for his consort sits next to that one. this is where they talk of war, peace, and what new tricks they can get up to.

the private rooms of the unseelie court. each one is made of a turned over tree, the limbs weaved together to keep prying eyes out. they're all bigger on the inside. the king has the grandest one, the tree limbs weaved with gold and bones. some of them lead to underground passages, while others are simply used for storage.
